Tropical dusk

"Tropical Dusk" is a STAV6 totem sculpture hand carved out of foam and hard coated for durability. It is then painted and clear coated for a slick shiny effect. The piece is exactly the same height as the artist, allowing Tavill to have a more personal view of the piece as a self portrait in ways, with the 3D graffiti letters of the sculpture also representing his own identity. The form of the piece draws on the nature of direction and the way in which arrows and lines can guide the viewer through the piece as well as the world around them.
