About
SAM TAVILL . . .
Sam Tavill aka "STAV6" is a multimedia designer, sculptor, and artist. His work bridges the worlds of street art, sculpture, and functional design, blurring the boundaries between two-dimensional graffiti and three-dimensional form. Tavill earned his bachelors degree in 2022 studying Industrial Design at Pratt Institute in New York City. He currently works as the Design Development Lead at Ralph Pucci International. Drawing inspiration from the fluidity of letterforms and the bold vibrancy of urban art, he seeks to transform familiar visual languages into sculptural objects that challenge perceptions of space, material, and texture. Each piece embodies a sense of movement, as if frozen in time, capturing the energy and spontaneity of street culture while grounding it in tangible, often playful forms. Through the use of sleek, flowing curves, exaggerated structures, and unconventional materials, Tavill aims to evoke curiosity and interaction with his modern forms. The interplay of color, texture, and scale invites viewers to question their relationship to the work, offering new perspectives on the physicality of graffiti and street art. His practice is a continuous exploration of the transformation of symbols—turning something impermanent like graffiti into a solid, physical structures that can be touched, experienced, and reimagined in new contexts. Tavill see's his work as a kind of hybrid, standing at the intersection of art and design, while paying homage to the cultural roots of street art and its constant evolution.
