coil table lamp

The Coil Table Lamp began as a 3D-printed form, refined by hand before a silicone mold was made to capture the final surface. The piece was cast in gypsum cement, then dyed with India ink and finished with a black wax, creating subtle variations in tone across the surface. The surface reads as naturally weathered and patinated, with tonal shifts that resist uniformity and feel time-aged. The open, spiraling geometry allows light to move through the form, softening the mass of the concrete and emphasizing the contrast between weight and glow.
